The MCLA was a great experience for me. I have lived in Mooresville my entire life and this program opened my eyes to so many things going on in our community that i had no idea existed. You will not only learn so much about the history of Morgan County, but being able to get involved with programs that are changing peoples' lives in our community. The contacts and friendships you will form will help you not only in your business, but also in your personal and spiritual growth as well. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to learn more about our community and learn about opportunities to help your community.

I am so very proud to state that I am a graduate of the MCLA Class of 2017. I must admit, it was a huge commitment when I decided to take part in the class. I can't tell you how very happy I am that I did decide to make that commitment. I am a lifelong resident of Morgan County and have worked in the county nearly all of my working life and yet I learned things about our county that I had no clue of. As a new member to the Morgan County Council, I wanted to go through the class and be aware of all the things our county has to offer. MCLA did that for me and so much more. I was made aware of employers I didn't even know were there. I learned the history of locations I had been aware were there, but never realized how they became what they are today. I discovered employers that are willing to give folks a second change at getting their life on track You will come out on the other side with new friends and a better understanding of our wonderful part of the world. -Kim S.
